The Cement Association of Canada is the voice of the Canadian cement manufacturing industry. Across the country, nine companies operate 16 plants producing over 14 million tonnes of cement. The Power Workers’ Union (PWU), formed in 1946, has been an active and independent voice in Ontario’s energy policy discussions for six decades. The PWU currently represents more than 15,000 men and women working in generation, transmission, distribution, system operations, and electrical safety throughout Ontario.
